CKM Accountancy is owned and run by me, Chris Morton.

Qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1993, after many years in the private sector I began my own business in May 2016 in Beckenham, Kent. In July 2017 I moved 200 miles north to the beautiful city of York.

I offer a “one-stop-shop” for all the bookkeeping, accounting, tax, and VAT needs of small, growing businesses and the self-employed.

Whether you need a regular bookkeeping and accountancy service, or just one-off help with your tax returns, I offer a cost efficient and dedicated service.

I will be your very own part-time accountancy department, whether it’s for a few hours a month or a few days a week, so please get in touch if you think I can be of help to you and your business.

What's next?

I offer both online and in-person services. Whichever is the most suitable depends upon where you are based and how often you require my services.

For regular bookkeeping and VAT work, my online service utilises cloud based accounting software:

  • I can create and maintain your accounting records remotely.
  • Invoices and receipts can be scanned and sent electronically to me to process.
  • VAT and year-end tax returns can be run from this software.

All my services can instead be delivered in person at your premises or home. Unfortunately, this option is only available if you are located in, or within 15 miles of, York itself.

In all cases, I always remain available by phone or email to offer ongoing professional advice as required.
